To his medical admissions counseling approach, Dr. Saiprasad (Dr. S) brings a wealth of firsthand experience and expertise. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Case Western Reserve University then went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from UMass Chan Medical School in 2023. It was during medical school that Dr. S discovered his passion for education, mentorship, and curriculum development, helping to co-lead and design elective courses in psychiatry and neurology and serving as co-president of the UMass Chan Peer Mentorship Program and as a student interviewer for the UMass Admissions Committee. Beyond academics, he is a strong advocate for youth in foster care, engaged in initiatives to improve mental health resources and revamp trauma-informed parenting curriculum for new foster families.

After graduating medical school, Dr. S. chose to follow his passion for mentorship and education, leading him to The Ⱥ½»AV Review, where he first served as a certified Biology/Biochemistry MCAT instructor before transitioning into a full- time role as our Online Community Specialist answering and advising undergraduate students on both test-prep questions and as well as admissions strategies in online communities including Reddit, Quora, and SDN. In this role, Dr. S provided answers and support to over 1000 aspiring physicians and led multiple national MCAT and Medical School Admissions events for The Ⱥ½»AV Review.

With his deep personal understanding of the current admissions process and recent firsthand knowledge of the realities of medical school, his mission is to support students in gaining acceptance to their dream medical school and preparing them for careers as compassionate and successful physicians. His virtual advising sessions often come with a special guest appearance from his cat, Marbles, who never misses an opportunity to say hello and offer moral support.

Outside of mentoring future doctors, Dr. S enjoys discovering new restaurants with his wife, hosting trivia and game nights, and baking intricate desserts.

Vasilios Moschouris brings a deep passion for writing and creativity to the admissions team. As a lifelong student and educator of the written word, having received his Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the esteemed University of North Carolina Wilmington, Vasilios offers a creative and attentive perspective at every stage of the admissions process. He believes that every student, no matter their skill level or confidence, has what it takes to tell their story their way, and his hands-on approach to tutoring and mentorship prioritizes equipping students with the tools they need to not only write one good essay, but become better, more confident writers in the future.

Matthew Morano, PhD

After earning his master’s in counseling and development at George Mason University, Dr. Morano began his career in academic advising where he guided incoming freshmen and later adult students who wanted to return to school to prepare for advanced and professional studies such as medical school, dental school, and law school.

After earning his PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Morano became a medical school counselor at an MD program in NC. In this role, he supported current medical students and guided prospective medical students toward admission. He later became a director and then Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at one of the most competitive dental schools in the nation. This role required extensive admissions work, student counseling, recruiting, teaching, and curricular design, guiding faculty and students in their respective endeavors. By the time Dr. Morano joined us at The Ⱥ½»AV Review, he had worked with, taught, recruited, directed, and inspired students for more than 20 years.

Now, with over 26 years’ experience in admissions and student affairs at Research I/Division I schools, Dr. Morano has been and remains dedicated to student success. As a college football player and Division I football coach, he uses his thorough knowledge of higher education and wide experience on the field to coach students through honest, accurate, and timely feedback. “My goal is to help applicants achieve their dreams!” Dr. Morano said in a recent interview.

Working with over 12,000 students in his career, Dr. Morano has led, organized, and executed admissions programs, orientations, skill building, and writing workshops. An excellent public speaker, Dr. Morano has spoken at national conferences on unconscious bias, improving interpersonal interactions, and developing interview skills. He has been able to bring these skills to The Ⱥ½»AV Review where his students have reported feeling incredibly well prepared for their medical school and dental school interviews.

In his free time, Matt enjoys traveling with his wife of 26 years and two college-age sons, visiting the beach and the mountains of North Carolina, and loves to cook.

Natasha Dillon brings over a decade of professional program and graduates program admissions experience to the team. She discovered her passion for advising pre-professional students in 2010 and pursued a master’s degree to become qualified and well-versed in assisting students with these goals. Natasha places particular importance and focuses on assisting students in maintaining mental health throughout the stressful process of applying. She has extensive knowledge regarding post-baccalaureate and master’s programs. Natasha holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master of Education in College Counseling and Student Development.

Amanda Zimmer is skilled in helping students apply to medical school.

While completing a master’s in student affairs in higher education at Texas State University, Amanda worked in both that school’s admissions counseling center and in the Health Professions Office at The University of Texas at Austin. The child of a military family, she grew up in New Jersey and Virginia, majoring in health sciences at James Madison University.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs.
